New combined terminal opened in Ostrava for 800 million crowns

Construction started last September, the total investment including related infrastructure amounts to more than CZK 800 million. The financing was co-financed by the EU through the Operational Programme Transport.

The Mošnov terminal will significantly contribute to the shift of freight transport from road to rail. In conjunction with the storage and production capacity in the Mošnov Industrial Zone, it will make logistics processes more efficient and enable further development of business activities in the Moravian-Silesian Region. "The new combined transport terminal in Mošnov will bring significant economic impulses and an influx of new investments not only to the regional town, but to the whole region. The strengthening and intensification of the cargo in the industrial zone will also contribute significantly to the development of the Leoš Janáček Ostrava Airport. It will have significant economic benefits for local companies, significantly lower emissions from truck transport, greater road safety and environmental improvements for the region," said the Governor of the Moravian-Silesian Region Ivo Vondrák.

The OAMP complex covers an area of 81 hectares and will include more than 353,000 m2 of warehouse, production and office space when construction is completed. In connection with the planned development of the OAMP site and the acquisition of a strategic investor, the use of the adjacent 51 hectares of land is planned. The construction is being carried out by Concens Investments with the financial group J&T. "We see the project as an opportunity to create a premium industrial property with high added value for future tenants. The Combined Transport Terminal in conjunction with the future storage and production capacity in the Mošnov Industrial Zone is unique in Central Europe," says Petr Kalina, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Concens Investments.

The new owner of the Ostrava Mošnov Combined Transport Terminal in July 2022 is IF Invest EAST, a member of the Innofreight Group, an Austrian company focused on moving freight transport from road to rail using innovative, modular logistics solutions. Currently, its products are on the rails in 17 European countries. Its development of light rail wagons, containers for all types of goods and unloading systems makes it the leading provider of logistics services for rail freight transport in Europe.
