The Ostrava Rohlik warehouse already serves over 45,000 households. Since opening, it has added 640 new locations
"The opening of the Ostrava warehouse was a crucial step that enabled us to make our service available to a significantly higher number of customers. The goal was not only to start delivering food to more households, but also to offer benefits such as express delivery in 60 minutes and 15-minute windows, which our customers are used to," says Martin Beháň, the director of Czech Rohlik.
The opening of the Ostrava warehouse enabled Rohlik to significantly reduce delivery time in the region from six hours from ordering to 60 minutes. On average, customers receive their purchases within three hours of placing an order.
Since 2018, Rohlík has been cooperating with CTP on the development of logistics and warehousing capacities in the Czech Republic, such as CTPark Brno Líšeň, CTPark Ostrava Poruba, CTPark Bucharest North in Romania and CTPark Budapest West in Hungary. For Rohlik, CTP has built a dedicated warehouse space that includes dry, chilled and frozen sections, space for a pharmacy, bakery and a production facility, all with a high focus on sustainability.
The buildings are BREEAM certified, have facilities for charging electric vehicles and are equipped with photovoltaic panels. The special technological requirements of Rohlik, such as high-performance air conditioning to maintain optimum humidity and temperature, have been met by CTP, promoting efficiency in the production and storage processes.
"The partnership with Rohlik is beneficial for both parties. Rohlik can benefit from our unique and expanding network of highly sustainable CTParks, which are strategically located for e-commerce projects. We, on the other hand, draw on the experience of our projects and continuously improve our services. It can be said that we are growing together with Rohlik and with each new project we implement, our relationship is moving forward," said Jakub Kodr, Managing Director and Sales Director of CTP for the Czech Republic.
Although the opening of the Ostrava warehouse was a significant leap, the online food retailer continues to expand its delivery areas to provide its service to other potential customers. Ostrava was followed by the opening of 640 new locations across the country. In Moravia-Silesia, another 50 locations were added.
