Ostrava Airport Multimodal Park expands by 120 000 m2
The construction of Phase II of the Ostrava Airport Multimodal Park (OAMP) project near Leoš Janáček Airport in Mošnov has begun. When completed in Q3 this year, it will offer 120,000 sqm of Class A commercial space. Logistics and manufacturing companies are particularly interested in the space, which is being built without a pre-agreed tenant.
"This year we have started further expansion in the Czech real estate market and the expansion of OAMP was a natural step given the consolidated ownership of the land and the valid building permits. We are building on a speculative basis without a pre-agreed tenant, but in our contact with logistics and manufacturing companies we are registering their interest in the Mošnov location. They especially appreciate the combination of air, rail, and road transport," says Tomáš Novotný, managing director of Concens Investments.
In Phase II, four logistics and light manufacturing halls will be built, and the site aims to achieve BREEAM Very Good certification. Emphasis is placed on energy efficiency in the operation of the future properties, so they will include the installation of rooftop photovoltaic panels, LED lighting in the interior and alternative heating sources are also being discussed in the form of preparations for heat pumps that could replace conventional gas heating.
