Panattoni has started construction of new premises in Panattoni Park Chomutov North for the investment group RSJ. The 31,000 sqm space will serve HOPI CZ, which will provide logistics for Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions (FHCS) and its Vileda brand for the German and global markets. The project aims to achieve BREEAM New Construction sustainability certification at the high Excellent level.
HOPI CZ offers customized logistics solutions, specializing in warehousing, transportation, VAS and e-commerce services. Extensive facilities and certified plants ensure top service and reliability for every logistics need. HOPI CZ will be providing logistics for FHCS, a leader in the production of cleaning products under its Vileda brand, in the new 31,000 sqm section of the hall at Panattoni Park Chomutov North The modern industrial building will have a total area of 55,000 sqm upon completion.
"The commencement of construction of the new logistics centre for our new partner - Freudenberg - is another major milestone in the history of HOPI CZ. This is our first solution from the CEE region to the West and we already know that it will not be the last. It's great that we can grow into other markets and still be a family-run company. We have made a commitment to our new partner and I look forward to seeing how we will fulfill it," says Martin Piškanin, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of HOPI HOLDING.
The new part of the hall will be used primarily for logistics services focused on the German market. Construction of the existing hall started in July 2024 and is scheduled for completion in July 2025, when it will be handed over to the client and operations will commence.
"The new part of the building at Panattoni Park Chomutov North will contribute to the further development of sustainable industrial construction in the Czech Republic. With its strategic location, modern technologies and green initiatives, this project will make a significant contribution to the development of the region. The site will continue to support the growth of the local economy and create new jobs, which will have a positive impact on the local community. I am very pleased that the building will be used by HOPI CZ, which is a great example of how a small local Czech company can become a Central European leader in its field," says Klára Sobotková, Regional Development Director, Panattoni.
The hall aims to achieve BREEAM New Construction certification at the Excellent level. The installation of photovoltaic panels (PV panels) is in the pipeline, which will contribute to the energy self-sufficiency of the building. There will also be charging stations for electric vehicles on site, making it easier for employees and visitors to the park to switch to greener transport. The entire Panattoni Park Chomutov North project, which will be complete upon completion, boasts extensive investment in supporting biodiversity. 438 trees and over 12,000 shrubs have been planted within the park, the area remains unfenced and follows the revitalisation of the adjacent riparian vegetation. Ponds were also dug to increase species diversity and bird and bat boxes were installed. These steps not only improve the local ecosystem, but also create a pleasant working environment for employees who can benefit from the proximity to nature.
"Not only our municipality, but the whole region needs similar investments. They show that the Chomutov region has a future as a value-added industrial area. The bonus is a sustainable building solution and an interesting tenant, which is a successful Czech company," says Václav Hora, mayor of Vrskmaň, in whose cadastre the industrial park is located.
The complex is located close to Vrskmany, Jirkov, Chomutov, Most and the German border (30 km). It is therefore perfectly connected to the German motorways (A4, A72, A9, A93), which provides connections to both the southern and northern part of Germany. In addition, the Czech motorways D6, D7 and D8 provide a seamless connection to Prague, Karlovy Vary and Ústí nad Labem. This strategic location offers exceptional accessibility for logistics and distribution, making the park attractive to international companies looking for efficient logistics hubs in Europe.
