Logicor welcomes the first tenant in the newly completed facility in Příšovice
Logicor, a leading owner, manager and developer of logistics properties in Europe, has welcomed the first tenant at the recently completed Logicor Příšovice site.
Plzeňský Prazdroj, the largest producer of Czech beer, has leased 7,500 sqm of space at Logicor Příšovice, which it will use as its regional distribution centre. It will thus be able to efficiently supply its customers in northern and eastern Bohemia. The beer distributed from this park will thus be tapped in restaurants in popular ski resorts and other tourist destinations such as the Krkonoše Mountains and the Bohemian Paradise.
The new facility, strategically located at a transport hub on the D10 motorway connecting Prague, Mladá Boleslav, Liberec and the borders with Poland and Germany, will help Plzeňský Prazdroj to streamline its distribution activities and enable further growth throughout the region. Thanks to the railway siding at the site, Logicor Park Příšovice also has an ideal connection to the rail network.
The new premises, which also include 470 m2 of office space, meet high standards of quality, safety and sustainability. They have been fully adapted to the specific needs of Plzeňský Prazdroj. Thus, there is no lack of facilities for sales teams, several entrance gates and ramps in the warehouse together with separate sections for different activities in the warehouse, areas for servicing the brewing technology or fencing of the outdoor areas.
Jaroslav Beneš, warehouse manager at Plzeňský Prazdroj, said, "We chose Logicor Park Příšovice because of its strategic location and because we had specific requirements for the spatial layout of the entire facility. Logicor was able to meet all our needs. We are looking forward to working with Logicor and are pleased to have their long-term support."
The Logicor Příšovice logistics park was created as part of the revitalisation of a large brownfield site where precast concrete was previously manufactured. It has undergone extensive renovation, which was completed this June. The total area of the park is over 20,500 m2. It is based on two buildings that are currently aiming for at least BREEAM Very Good certification. Both are equipped with an underground rainwater retention system, have stations for electric vehicles and their roofs are ready for the installation of photovoltaic panels. One of the buildings is also optimised for cross-dock operation.
The project also includes measures to develop the entire site, including the wider park surroundings. In addition to extensive revitalisation of the local flora and fauna to promote local biodiversity and improve living conditions, Logicor has also provided utility connections for the local community leading to a local natural swimming pool.
During the planning and construction of Logicor Park Příšovice, members of the company's team organised a number of cultural and social events for the local community. They informed local residents about the current stages of construction and explained the benefits the site will bring to their neighbours and the surrounding area.
Alžběta Pastrnková, Asset Manager at Logicor Czech Republic, said, "Our project in Příšovice demonstrates how our modern, sustainable and strategically located logistics facilities can effectively support our clients' businesses. We are pleased that by working closely with Plzeňský Prazdroj during the construction process, we were able to meet all the client's requirements to create an optimally functioning, sustainable and efficient facility. And all this while adhering strictly to the originally set construction schedule."
In addition to the park in Příšovice, Logicor is preparing a development in Průmyslova Street in the wider centre of Prague. Here, it will provide services to customers who need last-mile logistics with a focus on consumers in and around the centre of Prague.
