AUTODOC, one of the largest online retailers of automotive components, will have a distribution centre in Cheb

AUTODOC, Europe's leading online retailer of automotive parts and accessories, has chosen Panattoni Park Cheb South, which is being built by developer Panattoni, for its expansion into the Czech market. The 31,500 sqm automated distribution centre will offer excellent transport links thanks to its geographical location, but also the elements of a state-of-the-art green industrial property, as it will be connected to a building that was the first project in the Czech Republic to be awarded an "Outstanding" sustainability rating and a record score of 90.68% according to the BREEAM global sustainability certification.
The autodoc comes from Berlin. It is one of the fastest growing companies in the spare parts business. Thanks to successful expansion, the company is now active in 26 European countries in addition to Germany. AUTODOC is strongly customer-oriented through social media activities, technical support in the local languages of the countries in which it operates and a product range that adapts to current demand. The product portfolio now includes approximately 4 million products from 1,400 manufacturers across 166 car brands, 23 truck brands and 154 motorcycle brands.
"AUTODOC's expansion into Cheb is a manifestation of the growing interest in expanding e-commerce infrastructure that has been evident in recent years not only in the Czech Republic but throughout Europe. We are all buying an increasing share of our consumption in e-shops. We are pleased that a very important part of the e-commerce infrastructure is being implemented in a brownfield site and that a dilapidated complex is becoming a green mecca for modern commerce," said Pavel Sovička, Panattoni's Managing Director for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
"The new warehouse in Cheb, which is the third warehouse in addition to Berlin and Szczecin, allows us to be even closer to our customers and to shorten delivery times even more. With the opening of the new branch we want to keep up with our strong growth as a company and we are happy to have such strong partners as Panattoni and Accolade by our side," said Sven Herrmann, Vice President Supply Chain Management at AUTODOC and Managing Director of AUTODOC Logistics Sp.z o.o.
Panattoni Park Cheb South is a brownfield project by industrial zone builder Panattoni on the site of a former engineering plant. During the revitalisation, 90% of construction and demolition waste was recycled. The first building, whose tenant is Kaufland eCommerce Fulfillment, received the highest level of sustainability certification "Outstanding" and a record score of 90.68% according to the BREEAM global sustainability certification, making it the world's greenest industrial building. Currently, Panattoni has started preparatory work for the construction of additional buildings in the nearby Panattoni Park Cheb industrial park.
The I/21 road connecting to the D5 motorway leading from Prague to Rozvadov is located near the park. There is a public transport bus stop directly in the Park. The European railway corridor from Prague to Nuremberg passes through the town and a local railway line provides rail connections to the border areas of Germany and the Czech Republic. The container terminal in the German town of Wiesau is 33 km away.
